Open Call: Handmade by Artists
The Village of Industry & Art believes that the smallest details help shape the feeling of a place. A door handle, a sign, a planter, or a bench, can do more than service a function - they can tell a story about the people who made them. Rather than defaulting to standardized, off-the-shelf solutions, we’re creating opportunities for artists and makers to contribute to the space’s fabric through functional, handmade elements.
This is a rolling open call and submissions will be reviewed as they are received, and listings will be removed when a design is chosen. Each commission has a budget that reflects the scale and complexity of the project. We recognize that not every commission will be the right fit for every artist. We encourage submissions from artists who are excited by the challenge of creating meaningful interventions within these parameters.
