This presentation will examine the planning and design principles of both the Barnes Foundation and Calder Gardens projects in relation to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and how the developments relate to the original Parkway vision. The discussion will also contemplate what’s next for the Parkway.

William McDowell, having been involved in the management of both efforts will present the Barnes and Calder projects followed by a discussion moderated by David Brownlee.  

William McDowell (Bill) is an independent consultant who provides executive project management for complex projects and strategic initiatives. He has worked across the public and private sectors on a wide range of project types throughout Philadelphia.
