As part of our Sounds of Philadelphia series, we are inviting Fringe Fest shows to pop-up on Broad Street. On Friday, 9/4, join us for a free pop-up performance of Not Without Her Stories!
Not Without Her Stories is a powerful interactive stage play that gives voice to the untold experiences of women veterans. Through a moving blend of dialogue, poetry, dance, music, movement, still photography, and film, the production follows the lives of four women who met during Air Force boot camp and formed a lifelong sisterhood through service, sacrifice, and survival.
Twenty years later, Jade Thomas, Ivette Garcia, and Jasmin Kennedy reunite carrying the emotional weight of war, military sexual trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and the difficult transition from military life back into civilian society. Their bond is forever shaped by the loss of their friend, Anna Red Bear, who was killed in action during deployment in Iraq. Together, these women confront painful memories while searching for healing, understanding, and hope.
Note: Though this event is free, this Fringe show will be presented in its entirety later this month. For tickets and more info: Link here
