As part of DesignPhiladelphia’s 2026 Festival, Architect Jeff Richards will present his work as both a professor at Temple University's Tyler School of Art and Architecture, and as the commissioned designer for the 2026 Art on the Parkway program organized by the Association for Public Art (aPA) in partnership with the Parkway Council and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation (PPR).
Richards will discuss his Art on the Parkway project, Franklin Thread, which incorporates a flax-based biogenic building material called "flaxcrete" that he developed with his students.
The presentation will be followed by a Q&A.
