The 2025 DesignPhiladelphia Festival officially launched with an unforgettable Kick-off + Inaugural Awards Celebration, setting the tone for a season of creativity, connection, and recognition across the city. Hosted in the Great Hall at Village of Industry and Art, by one of our first tenants, the evening marked a meaningful milestone—not only for the festival, but for the growing creative community at VIA.
The event brought together Philadelphia’s designers, architects, artists, and design enthusiasts for a night that celebrated the individuals and organizations shaping the city’s design landscape. The inaugural awards honored those whose vision, collaboration, and dedication continue to push boundaries and elevate Philadelphia as a center for creative excellence.
Guests enjoyed music by BWC Sounds, curated cocktails, and a vibrant crowd that embodied the energy of the local design scene. A standout moment of the evening was the special design installation, Animal Factory by Luca Boscardin, designer for Magis, presented by Millésimé, which added a playful and thought-provoking dimension to the celebration.
